I’m Désirée Sellstrom, licensed esthetician and founder of Fabella Skin Therapy, proudly serving our Central Coast community in the Village of Arroyo Grande, California.

As a wife of 25 years and a mom of 3 young adults (a Sonoma State pre-med student, a U.S. Marine abroad, and an AGHS cheerleader), I know just how powerfully impactful a 90-minute luxury skincare treatment can be! I’ve designed my studio spa experience in a way that will leave you feeling restored, beautiful and more empowered about taking care of your skin than you’ve ever felt before.

Having held over a thousand pretty faces as an esthetician, I’ve come to prefer (and now specialize) in holistic skin health. This means I combine intuitive Hungarian facial massage techniques with professional, results-driven Eminence Organic protocols to address your skin concerns in the studio. I then personalize your daily routine with custom aftercare instructions and product recommendations, creating a long-term skincare plan that supports you beyond the treatment room.

I am an Empath: I have a deep desire to help people feel better in their own little world, and I pour that intention into every appointment. Your facial becomes a quiet conversation between your skin and my hands, perfectly curated to restore the skin’s balance, calm the nervous system and bring your natural radiance forward. It’s more than skincare. It’s a space for your story to feel seen and supported.

I am an Educator: I’m a genuinely curious person, especially when it comes to skin. There’s always something new to explore (ingredients, techniques, treatments), and I take great pride in the fact that I travel for advanced esthetic training at least twice annually. Every facial visit is a chance to share that knowledge in a way that supports your skin and the story it is sharing.

My studio is not a “get the gals, grab some Rosé and head to the spa for the day” kind of facial, as fabulous as those are! I see my role as your esthetician a bit differently. Yes, you will experience a most relaxed, uplifting, luxury facial. But! I also work with you to create a long-term skincare plan that ensures your face has the healthiest, most vibrant storied expression as you age.

I will be checking in on you throughout the year to see if any new issues arise (hormone changes, stress increases, lifestyle changes, etc.), and we’ll work through it together so your skin’s story is as radiant as you!
